Sue royer, live well integrated health coaching founder
I began my career as a software developer and then spent the majority of the next three decades in roles that were focused on fostering the professional development of employees in a fast-paced corporate setting. During those same years, I was also happily committed to raising my four children. Grateful as I was to have had both a challenging career and a large family, I have, at times, regretted my lack of attention to my own wellness. When the opportunity arose for an early retirement, I took it, in hopes of spending some time to figure out what "living well" meant for me.
After some months of exploration, I became interested in Health Coaching. I was excited to leverage my many years of experience fostering adult learning to support others in their own efforts to live healthy and fulfilling lives. In 2017, I completed the Integrative Health Coach Training Program at Duke University’s Integrative Medicine Center and in 2018 became a Certified Integrative Health Coach through Duke. Duke’s certification process is rigorous, including coursework, extensive practice, mentoring, and written and oral examinations. I continue to maintain supportive professional relationships with staff and alumni of the Duke Integrative Medicine Health Coach Training program. I have also completed all the requirements to sit for the ICHWC National Board Certification for Health & Wellness Coaches examination in November.
Through Live Well Integrative Health Coaching, based in Blue Bell, PA, I offer an array of services to both individuals and groups, in person in the Philadelphia area and also by phone or video conference to people everywhere, all focused on helping people to make the long-term, healthy sustainable changes they need to Live Well.
